Warranty summary

Eligible waterproofing works carried out by The Dry Shield are covered by a written warranty of up to five (5) years from the date of completion and handover, on the terms set out below and on your warranty certificate.

What is covered

Failure of the waterproofing system we installed that results in water leakage, under normal use
Defects in our workmanship on the warranted scope
Re-treatment or rectification of the affected area at no cost to you during the warranty period

What is not covered

Areas or works not included in the warranted scope
Damage caused by structural movement, new construction, or alterations by others
Damage from external factors — natural disasters, accidents, vandalism or misuse
Pre-existing defects or issues outside the treated area
Normal wear of decorative finishes such as paint colour fade

Duration and start date

The warranty period begins on the date of completion stated on the warranty certificate. The applicable duration depends on the system installed and is stated on that certificate.

Making a claim

To make a claim, contact us with your warranty certificate or invoice reference and a description (and photos where possible) of the issue. We will inspect the reported area, usually within a reasonable period, and rectify any covered defect.

Transferability

Unless otherwise stated on the certificate, the warranty applies to the property and original client and may be transferable on sale of the property with prior written notice to us.

Conditions that void the warranty

Repairs, alterations or coatings applied to the warranted area by others
Failure to follow care guidance provided on handover
Non-payment of amounts due for the works
Removal or damage of the installed system by third parties

Limitations

This warranty covers rectification of the waterproofing works only and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses. It is in addition to any rights you have under applicable law.
